Tips and Tricks / MAC’s Hidden Dictionary/Thesaurus
Hey you guys might know this already. Press and hold Apple+Control+D over any word in a cocoa application (Safari, iChat, Mail etc…) and up pops a handy dandy Dictionary/Thesaurus
Tips and Tricks / The designers guide
Here is a handy tip for structuring your Photoshop layers and folders so that you can to distinguish between a “Layer” and a “Folder” with one click.
When creating a new folder, start by naming it with an asterisk “*”. This way, when you right click on the stage (ctrl + click for MAC), you can tell which item is a layer or a folder. See diagram:
If you are really pedantic (like me) you can even use the “*” to distinguish which folders are a sub level eg “** Sublevel”.
