Website / Lonley Planet TV

LP have launched Lonely Planet TV allowing people to share their video experiences from around the globe. The site offers similar functionality to YouTube and plans to purchase the best content available for broadcasting and commission filmakers based on their submissions.

Great idea destined to be as popular as their Thorn Tree and Blue List offerings.

Web TV / Democracy Player

The Democracy Player, touted as an open source internet TV platform allows users to download and watch all internet TV shows, video RSS feeds, video podcasts, video blogs, or BitTorrent files. At present, the channel guide has over 600 available with new ones arriving daily.

I’d imagine these ‘new’ media players will start springing up everywhere like RSS feeders have of late.
